One of the most important partners in passing a CMMC Level 2 assessment is your External Service Provider (ESP) — your Managed Services Provider or Managed Security Services Provider. Almost every small subcontractor we work with outsources their IT management, and these ESPs have to be involved during your assessment. They must understand CMMC and maintain a documented Shared Responsibility Matrix that spells out, at the assessment-objective level, what they provide and whether each objective is shared or can be fully inherited. Our managed services program is built to support an OSC through preparation and a passing assessment.
